God is Faithful to Supply All Our Needs

Philippians 4:19 But My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Although this happened years ago, I often reflect back on the many times the Lord came through for me and how faithful He is to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. This is one of those times and I would like to share it with you.

I had been looking for a place to live and finally made my decision on one of the apartments I saw. I phoned the office manager to see if it was still available. She said it was and asked if I could wait until 5:00 the following day to come and sign the lease agreement. She also informed me that I would need to bring proof of credit and a deposit. I of course told her I would do so.

However, after my conversation with the manager, I spoke to the Lord because He and I both knew I didn’t have any proof of credit. All I had was a library card and I was sure that was not what the manager had in mind.

I prayed, “Lord, as you know, I don’t have any proof of credit so I’m asking you to supply me with credit by 5:00 tomorrow.” Several times the following day I prayed, “Lord, in about 5 hours I need proof of credit.” A little later, “Lord, in about 3 hours I need proof of credit.” I had now arrived at the managers office and prayed, “Lord, in about 5 minutes, I need proof of credit and as far as I know, I still only have my library card.

After signing the lease agreement, the manager asked if I brought proof of credit. “Yes I did.” Reaching into my purse I took my wallet and proceeded to get my library card. I didn’t know what the Lord was going to do, but I knew some how He was going to provide credit for me.

Upon opening my wallet, a check fell out that was loose inside my wallet. It was my seed-faith check I had written earlier in the day to a ministry I had been supporting. Not having an envelope, I had placed the check loose in my wallet with the intensions of mailing it after I returned home.

As the check fell from my wallet, it slid directly across the desk right to the manager. She picked it up assuming it was my deposit. Once looking at the check she said, “Oh, I’m sorry, I see this is not your deposit. However, I can’t help but notice this check is written to Oral Robert’s Ministry. Do you support this ministry?” “Yes ma’am I do.”

Without another word, she placed the check down on the desk and slid it back to me saying. “Well, that’s all the credit I need.”

At that moment I realized the Lord used my seed-faith and multiplied it into credit.

I was jumping up and down on the inside. “Do you not want to see anything else?” I asked. “No, that’s all the credit it need.”

God turned my seed faith into credit.

To God be the glory. He is faithful to supply all our needs as we are faithful to obey His Word.

John 15:7 If you abide in me and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.
